{"id":5751,"date":"2025-07-02T02:24:45","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T01:24:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/azimuth.com.pl\/?post_type=news-cu&#038;p=5751"},"modified":"2025-06-30T02:26:23","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T01:26:23","slug":"5747","status":"publish","type":"news-cu","link":"https:\/\/azimuth.com.pl\/en\/news-cu\/5747\/","title":{"rendered":"Howells architects selected to design large-scale residential project Limmo Peninsula"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Howells has been appointed as the master planner for the construction of 1,400 residential homes on the former Crossrail site in East London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Development partners \u2014 Ballymore and Transport for London (TfL) \u2014 have selected Howells as the lead architect for the Limmo Peninsula project near the Kennington area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LDA Design has also joined the team as the landscape architect. The planning application is expected to be submitted next year after the full design team is assembled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 5-hectare vacant site, located between railway tracks and Bow Creek, was previously used for the construction of the Elizabeth line \u2014 where tunnel boring machines were lowered to dig the tunnels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearby is the Howells-designed London City Island residential complex, consisting of 1,706 apartments across ten buildings on the peninsula at Bow Creek, completed in 2022. Also close by is the Orchard Wharf project \u2014 a proposed student accommodation with 1,365 beds, designed by Howells for developer Regal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Limmo Peninsula project will include connections to surrounding areas via a new bridge to Kennington and a riverside walkway near Kennington tube station.
