Turner & Townsend (T&T) has acquired the Egyptian firm ValueMetric Consultants (VMC), which specializes in cost management and quantity surveying.
VMC, founded in Cairo, was previously private and operated in Greater Cairo, the North Coast, the Nile Delta, and the Red Sea region.
The acquisition of VMC is part of T&T’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Middle East, where the company already employs over 1,000 people.
The VMC team consists of 20 members and is led by Ayman El-Gazzawi, who will now become the head of T&T in Egypt and report to Alan Talabani, Managing Director of the company in the Middle East. El-Gazzawi previously worked in T&T’s UK division.
Alan Talabani stated that the acquisition is an important milestone that allows the company to expand its cost management and commercial management services in the Egyptian market, “full of opportunities and potential.”
“The growth of investment in key real estate sectors in the Middle East allows us to strengthen our presence in North Africa and improve support for our clients across the region,” he added.
Ayman El-Gazzawi emphasized: “By combining our cost management expertise with the capabilities of Turner & Townsend, we will continue to set high standards for our clients and their projects.”
